Frequently Asked Questions...

What are your policies for garbage service and expectations of customers?

- Please have carts out roadside by 7:30am on your pick up day or the night before.

- Please bag & tie all household garbage to limit smells and help keep animals out.

( We expect garbage to be out when our truck comes by so we typically can't spend time backtracking if it's out late. You may be charged an extra fee that's paid directly to the driver as a tip if they're still close by and able to go back. )

What can I put in my cart for pick up?

We only pick up "household" garbage so use your best judgement or please call our office if you're unsure. We DO NOT pick up large/lithium batteries ( cause fires ), tires , yard waste, building materials, or hazardous materials. Oils and paints must be mixed with sawdust or kitty litter so it hardens/solidifies before disposal.

How should my trash go in the cart?

Please have all garbage bagged and tied inside your cart. We recommend additional carts if there's excessive garbage or please call to schedule a special pick up if you have

larger quantities or bulky items that won't fit in your cart ( additional fees may apply ).

What areas do you service?

We offer our waste managment services in Travelers Rest, Greer, Inman, Lyman, Campobello, Landrum, Tigerville, Gowensville, the 3 Mtn Cliffs Properties and now parts of Marietta & North Greenville.

Does EW offer construction dumpsters or dispose of bulky/special items?

Our construction dumpsters were sold in 2021 but we are still capable of disposing large amounts of cardboard ( moving boxes ) and certain bulk items. We're somewhat limited by size & weight so this is a case-by-case decision. We may refer you to a friend that's better equipped for larger items/quantities and also provides 12-14 yd dumpster rentals. Special pickups are subject to additional charges for our driver's time, fuel, making trips to pickup/disposal site, etc. Please text a few photos to our office to help us determine a quote & we typically need at least 3-4 days notice for scheduling purposes or referral requests.

Does EW offer any specials or promos?

Our Referral Program is a great opportunity for current customers to be awarded Free Service by recommending EW to friends, family or neighbors in need of garbage collection. The program offers current customers 1 free month of service  ( $25 max value ) as a thank you. ( All referrals must be within EW's service range and the offer will be applied after their first payment's received. Additional restrictions may apply. )

Does EW offer any type of commerical services?

We can offer limited commerical service within our service range. Since we specialize with "household carts", we can offer much better prices than standard dumpsters if your company can work with us. EW can easily save you hundreds annually if this applies to your business.

What can I do if bears or animals get into my trash cart?

1) Dump a cup-worth of PineSol or ammonia into your cart to help deter bears.

2) Check out the "New

3) Large hardware stores offer a reinforced bear-proof can but they can cost ~$250.

How can I pay my bill and what happens if I miss a payment?

As of March '25 we will begin implementing a new billing/routing software that will be used from now on. Please bear with us as data/info's transferred over, we work to fix any minor glitches and our staff/drivers learn how to use all the new features.

Customer Portal: each account will an individual CP used to view invoices, make card or bank payments, set up auto pay, etc. An invite was sent to the email we have on file for customers that opted in for paperless billing or provided us one.

The CP will now be used for all card & banking payments other than Bill Pay (mail). The software developers assure us that any auto pays still on file in our old system will be safely/securely transferred although this may take longer than the initial transfer.

Checks, cash and Bill Payments should continue being mailed to our PO Box the same as in the past.
