EW Bear Bin Options

​

Many EW customers fight an ongoing battle to keep bears & wildlife out of their trash bins. We always get an influx of calls about bear issues especially during warmer months but activity over the summer of '25 skyrocketed so we've decided to do something about it!

​

This is a work in progress but as of Jan '26, we are working to implement a bear-bin option that customers can purchase through EW.

- The heavy-duty bear bins available currently are reinforced with a latching lid but these costs ~$275 for a full-sized 96-gallon version

( Pretty steep & hard to justify for a trash bin )

- EW's goal is to offer an alternative option at a much better price that more can afford

- After researching & speaking with multiple manufacturers, we've found a company that we believe will be a great fit. Our initial order was recently placed to but these into action.

 

- EW bear-bins will start on a trial-run basis to see how things go & determine popularity so supplies are limited at least initially.

- We're working out the variables & running the numbers to determine pricing ( upfront costs, build time, logistics, delivery, etc )

- Purchase will include a new bin with pre-assembled straps/hardware and delivery

- Anyone interested can call or text our office # to get on our Wait List or to receive more info once it's determined.

- Due to the risk of potential damage, bear bins are non-refundable after delivery.

New Software Info for Customers & New Offerings  

1. Be advised that starting in March of 2025 we're switching over to a new billing/routing software. This new system will streamline every aspect of EW from both a customer & business standpoint. The implementation process is a major undertaking so we'd greatly appreciate everyone's patience & cooperation as we get everything up to speed.

2. Customer Portal : The new system includes a Portal that will now be used for card/ACH drafts or to set up Auto Pay. You must register via email but it also allows customers to add or change payment options, view invoices, check past payments/statuses.

​

- The CP will be the primary payment option moving forward due to rising postage rates, other associated costs and the additional time required to mail paper bills. Emails are free to send so participation in the CP's highly recommended. We'd much rather put these funds towards improving EW overall but mailed invoices will continue to be offered upon request.

- All card/ACH drafts must now go thru the Portal so the old option to pay on our website's no longer active ( this applies to both auto pay & one-time payments )

- Existing auto pays set up thru our website with the old system will remain active until the card expires. Moving forward all new card/ACH payments must be set up with the Portal which is managed in-house to simplify things.

- We'll continue to accept mailed checks, cash and Bill Pay like always ( PO Box 210, Tigerville SC 29688 ).

* Credit Cards incur a ~3% processing fee charged by a 3rd party ( industry-standard ).

* Debit & ACH drafts don't apply and process for free

-3. Initial CP invites were sent out in early March 2025 to all accounts with an email saved on file prior to this date.

- Please check the Spam folder if the invite's MIA or you can text our office # if the email needs to be resent.

- To opt in for the CP you can text us the best email option for receiving invoices to opt in or to confirm the email we have on file's correct.

4. The CP invite's strictly used to Register ( the email must be the Username & choose your own Password )

- A notification email will go out each quarter once a new invoice's available thru the CP
